Todd Woodbridge meets plenty of interesting people as host of Tipping Point Australia, but Gen Z contestant Ania has to be one of the most memorable.
The 19-year-old university student was very entertaining as she made her way through the show’s rounds, jumping in to incorrectly guess two questions and giggling as she suggested ‘GM’ in chess meant ‘good morning’ rather than ‘Grandmaster’.
But it was an honest answer to a single question that had Todd laughing the hardest.

After making it through the opening round, Ania found herself in a head-to-head against 31-year-old lecturer Adam.
Todd asked a question that ended up really showing the generational divide.
“In 2023, which Australia coin denomination became the first to feature an image of Charles III as king?” he said.
”Alright, so, I only ever use Apple Pay,” Ania hit back.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coin. I’m so sorry to say this.”

The honest answer sent Todd, Adam and the crowd into hysterics.
As Todd educated her on the denominations of Australian coins, Ania admitted “that just went in one ear and out the other”.
“Honey, I tap and go!” she joked.

Of course, Ania did not know the answer and passed the question to Adam, who correctly guessed it was the $1 coin.
Earlier in the episode, Ania introduced herself with a bold rap about her plans to visit Brazil if she won the show’s $20,000 Jackpot.

But she knew it wouldn’t be easy!
“But I’m against the odds, trying to impress my bestie Todd,” she rapped, as the host enthusiastically danced along.
Despite her big personality, Ania found her tipping point and walked away without any money.
Adam, a show superfan, successfully answered the Jackpot Round questions to sail through to a natural $20,000 Jackpot win.
