
LOVE Island Australia star Lexy Thornberry has revealed she’s battling head and neck cancer.
The Islander, 24, shared her news on social media with emotional snaps of her in hospital.
Lexy – who starred in the 2021 series of Australian Love Island – shocked fans when she shared her heartbreaking news that she had head and neck cancer.
This type of cancer affects the mouth, throat and sinuses, and can be life threatening if not caught early.
However, with the right treatment it can be managed, and even beaten by patients.
Lexi revealed that she will soon start chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Sharing a slew of pictures from hospital on Instagram, she penned a heartfelt message which read: “I am 24 years old and I have been diagnosed with cancer.
“No, sadly I’m not joking. They put me in a robe for my X–ray,’ she continued.
“I thought it was so dramatic. A couple days later I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer…”
Lexy then went on to reveal how her cancer diagnosis came as a complete “shock”.
